rx2620 Primary Boot Path
Hello Gurus,
I have my rx2620 with 2 disks in slot 1 and 2.
when i run setboot in hp-ux, i see the below:
Primary bootpath : 0/1/1/1.2.0
HA Alternate bootpath : 0/1/2/0
Alternate bootpath : 0/1/2/1
Autoboot is ON (enabled)
The disk in slot 2 is having the OS. I want to bring it to slot 0 and boot OS from there.
How do I do that?
I have tried setboot -p 0/1/1/0.0.0 but i get the error setboot: cannot set primary boot path.
Please assist.
Horace

Re: rx2620 Primary Boot Path
Hello,
You cannot set a boot path to a path that do not exists.
So you should stop the server put your disk from slot 2 to slot 0. Then start stop at EFI go to fs0: or fs1: (which disk is your boot one) and find the hpux.efi file. start it and when your OS boots then execute setboot and it will make the correct entry in EFI.
