Smart Array P400 card replacement on rx2660
I have to replace one faulty RAID controller card, Smart Array P400 card (SP# 504022-001)on a rx2660 integrity server slot-4. There are 2 Logical volumes configured on this card and having data. I know that the new RAID card should have the same or latest firmware. But I am not able to check the exisiting firmware on the defective card. System continously rebooting while connecting this card.
I want to make sure I will not loss any data. The new controller card will get the exisiting Logical Drive informatons from the disks.
What I have to do in this case. Please advise...
Thanks in advance...

Re: Smart Array P400 card replacement on rx2660
While this firmware upgrade on the new Controller card, I dont have to connect the SAS cables on the controller, Is it?
Can you please confirm the below link will be the right firmware for the same.

Re: Smart Array P400 card replacement on rx2660
The controller firmware upgrade can be done without connecting the SAS cable.
