Internet Explorer 5.5 - multiple posts

Randomly we are seeing two posts to the web server (IIS4) when only one post command is sent. We removed the option to double click the submit button. This happens with IE with and without SP1. It doesn't matter operating system the users are on. Any ideas why IE 5.5 would submit two posts randomly?

Do you see the same behavior with IE-6 ?

I have seen IE 5.5 sp1 behave strangely.

I've got the exact same syptom. We use IE55 SP1 and IE55 without SP1 and the problem still remains. Very odd. Got any ideas?
