VCX Dial Plan Help
so i am new to VCX dial plan and routing, coming from NBX world. i have the following call flow that i need to accomplish in the VCX connect 200 with PRI on MSR so any help would be great. i have looked at the manuals but i cant see or figure it out, i need to get NBX out of my head.
Example
incoming digits from telco 555-1212
i need that number to ring M-F 7am-4pm to a HG say 4000 with call coverage of a AA of 5500; outside of those hours the call needs to go straight to the AA of 5500.

Re: VCX Dial Plan Help
Setup a "dummy" extension on 5551212 - this is an extension that is registered to a user but never has a phone logged in on it, so it always goes straight to coverage (make sure the extension has a phone profile WITHOUT call fallback or enable voicemail ticked).
Under coverage for extension 5551212, set default coverage to send the call to 5500, and set a time based coverage for the Mon-Fri times you speciy to send to 4000. Set hunt group 4000 to cover to 5500.
There are other ways to achieve this, but this is the one I use.
Regards
John Whitley

Re: VCX Dial Plan Help
thanks that worked, i also got it to work using a phantom HG. very strange that you have to do these crazy setup for a very normal call flow.
