VCX Time Servers

Everynow and then my VCX seems to lose sync with the Time Server.

Is there anyway to restart or force the time server to resync without rebooting the system or running the network wizard?

Re: VCX Time Servers

From the command line, type:

service ntpd restart

This restarts the NTP Daemon and will resynch with your timesources.

Re: VCX Time Servers

just curious what time servers are you using?

3com recomends 1.pool.ntp.org and 2.pool.ntp.org

I had issues some time back when I was using something other than those when I switched to them I have not had an issue since.

Re: VCX Time Servers

I am using internal servers at the moment, if i set them to external then it may not be the same as the internal servers. Ideally it would be the same but not necessarily... i might change them back if i continue to have problems. Is there a way to change just the NTP servers and not go through the wizard?

thanks for the service ntpd restart though that helped for the moment.

Re: VCX Time Servers

The only way to change the ntp servers is to run

vcx-config-network and go through the wizard and then save.
