cannot set pw for router

hey guys, i have experienced a power surge today and my router was reset.

i was trying to reset the pw back to my router this afternoon but it doesnt work.

usually when i apply the new setting, the router will disable internet for 30sec or so, but it did not happen anymore . And the pw was never on, even thought the message board said it is

can anyone help me solve the problem?

you forgot one important information ... what type of router are you speaking abount? :-)
