Problem with module 10G Switch S5120
Hello I have a H3C Switch: S5120-52C-PWR-EI
I bought a module: that comes with 2 SFP + interface ( HP lspm2sp2p 2 port 10gbe spf module) , I made the installation and at first it did not recognize, I updated the firmware and now it can detect them:
display boot-loader
Slot 2
The current boot app is: flash:/a5120ei-cmw520-r2222p09.bin
The main boot app is: flash:/a5120ei-cmw520-r2222p09.bin
now they are normally detected:
Ten-GigabitEthernet2/1/1 current state: UP
IP Packet Frame Type: PKTFMT_ETHNT_2, Hardware Address: c4ca-d9d0-703c
Description: Ten-GigabitEthernet2/1/1 Interface
Media type is optical fiber,Port hardware type is 10G_BASE_SR_SFP
Mdi type: auto
Ten-GigabitEthernet2/1/2 current state: UP
IP Packet Frame Type: PKTFMT_ETHNT_2, Hardware Address: c4ca-d9d0-703d
Description: Ten-GigabitEthernet2/1/2 Interface
Media type is optical fiber,Port hardware type is 10G_BASE_LR_SFP
Mdi type: auto
It occurs and after that point I can not configure them.
There is no option to set vlan in them:
[SW01-Ten-GigabitEthernet2/1/2]?
Ten-gigabitethernet_ids interface view commands:
cfd Connectivity fault detection (IEEE 802.1ag)
default Restore the default settings
description Describe the interface
display Display current system information
flow-interval Set interval of interface statistic
ping Ping function
quit Exit from current command view
return Exit to User View
save Save current configuration
shutdown Shut down this interface
tracert Trace route function
undo Cancel current setting
[SW01-Ten-GigabitEthernet2/1/2]
In a normal port, and even in another H3C of the 5800 line I have it has the "port" options to be configured, but in this does not have this option.
Is there any way to configure it, or enable the configuration feature (port, vlan etc ...)?
I also tried the graphical interface but I could not.
Anyone know how to solve this?

Re: Problem with module 10G Switch S5120
Hello,
Can you please share the product number of the module or the output of "display device manuinfo" ?

The HP LSPM2SP2P 2-Port 10GbE SPF+ Module should have the HP SKU JD368B...

Re: Problem with module 10G Switch S5120
Hi parnassus,
Yes it is exactly this.
It recognizes in the Switch, just does not give me options of its configurations like VLAN, PortGroup etc ....

Re: Problem with module 10G Switch S5120
Does it change if (a) you insert a supported transceiver and/or (b) if you change your Switch's brand (it looks like your switch is still H3C branded with HPE Firmware instead of being HPE branded with HPE Firmware...use display brand CLI command to check).

Re: Problem with module 10G Switch S5120
Got it.
When executing the command I have the output:
[SW-48P] display brand
Current BRANDs:
Slot 2: H3C.
New BRANDs:
Slot 2: H3C.
I'm having a multimode gbic in SPF 2 (LR), and a single-mode gbic cisco in SPF 1 (SR).
Do you think it could be compatible with it?
See the image I have connection status on both:
