AJ750A MSA2012 JBOD

Hi guys and dolls,

Can the above storage be attached directly to a Proliant server through a Smartarray controller, or this JBOD can only be used to stack MSA2312 "smart" MSAs?

Hi,

As per the product bulletin, the Product will be used as a extension to MSA 2000 Arrays.

HP StorageWorks MSA2000 Dual I/O 3.5-inch inch 12 LFF Drive Enclosure
(w/ two .6m SAS to SAS cables) Used with dual controller array head - AJ750A.

So it is not supported to connect the above MSA directly to a let's say DL360 G5 Proliant server having a SmartArray E500 controller installed?
