block level replication vs page level replection

HI

 

I was studying about replication in MSA. I realized that there are two types of replication  :

1-linear replication  (block level  replecation)

2-virtual replication ( page level replecatin)

I wanted to know the difference between these two things(block level  replecation  VS page level replecatin)

Which of the above is a better performance?

Whether we use the auto tiering feature. Can we use virtual replication?
