MSA 2012i - Volume Copy
Hi there,
we have now Unit 0 with 12x SAS HD´s in 2 RAIDs of 6 Disks (RAID10). These RAIDS´s are only for our Vmware ESX-Servers, formatted with VMFS.
Now we want to buy a second shelf (Unit 1) with 12x SATA 1.0TB Disks together with the Volume Copy License.
These Unit is for LUN´s that we connect to our HP DL380G5-Server as File-Server.
Then we want to backup the LUN´s daily. I think the best way is to copy the LUN´s with the Volume Copy License and then backup the copies of the productive LUN´s.
What is important to note?
