I have a customer who has an existing MSA 2040 array. It currently hosts their vSphere 6.5 environment. They are looking into purchasing new ESXi hosts and upgrading to vSphere 7.0. As part of the upgrade they would also like to upgrade their storage array from an MSA 2040 to an MSA 2062. However, they would like to continue to use the existing expansion disk shelves as well as maintain the existing disks.
Is it possible to perform an in place upgrade from an MSA 2040 to a 2062? I haven't been able to locate much documentation on the MSA's and I'm hoping someone out there knows the answer.
Thanks!

The MSA 2060 family is a hardware departure from the previous generations and no data-in-place upgrades are available. I don't find any HPE documentation on this, I'm sure it's somewhere.
I did find this HPE-ized document publicly: https://www.ingramnz.com/sites/hpe/documents/FAQ%20-%20HPE%20MSA%201060%202060%202062%20Storage.PDF

Re: Upgrade existing MSA 2040 to MSA 2062
Thanks! I had looked through that document previously but I had missed the section on page 2 which explicitly states "there are no data in-place upgrades possible." Looks like the answer to my question is No!
