Adaptive NIC teaming broadcasts
I have multiple servers running the adaptive NIC teaming. After sniffing the wire I noticed a lot of broadcast traffic which I have found little information on. What I found indicates it is a keep-alive used by the driver. Can the timing of this be changed?

Re: Adaptive NIC teaming broadcasts
1. What two NICs are you running?
2. What is the OS?
3. What NIC driver is installed?
Do you have any further information on the identify of the traffic you are seeing?

Re: Adaptive NIC teaming broadcasts
The NICs are the integrated HP NIC and an additional HP 10/100TX PIC (D5013B)
Servers, LH3, LH3000, LH6000
The NIC driver is from HP either downloaded from the site or installed from the Netserver Navigator.
The only operating systems are NT 4.0 Sp6a and Win2k Advanced sp2.
The packets are all sent to a MAC of all F's and the protocol type is 886d. The packets look like they have a counter in them and some have the MAC of the sender in the data while others don't.
