After adding 2nd processor how to enable NT multiprocessor Kernel?
I am planning to add a second P-III processor to my LC2000r running NT 4.0.
Will I need to reinstall Nt to get the Mult processor Kernel or is there any patch or utility to enable this?

Re: After adding 2nd processor how to enable NT multiprocessor Kernel?
Hi,
There is an option in System properties to make the Windows to understand the second CPU. I am not sure this will make a new kernel or not !
Good luck,
AR

The best way to add support to second processor is to folow instructions on http://support.microsoft.com/directory/article.asp?ID=KB;EN-US;Q156358
Also there is a utility in resource kit called unitomulti but it has some bugs and if you are using it you have to fix some things manually. You will probably spend more time using this utility and manually fixing errors than doing everything manually as described in the articel.
