I Updated a LH2 Server to the BIOS revision 4.06.24PK . Now the Server doesn't start. It hangs on detecting the HDD's with the internal Mylex Acceleraid160 Controler. The Mylex Controler is full functionally in my standard PC.

Re: BIOS Update LH2
if the scsi controller hang scanning the hdd, them probably you have a hdd not responding, if you have hot swap disk, then check the leds of hdd and see if one hdd have two leds lighted ( one is power, the second is activity), in the enquire time, the hdd should light half a second the activity led, if this didn't occur, then probably this hdd is failed, ttry to remove this hdd from the raid.
bye

SolutionYou mention that you are at 4.06.24PK and the LH2 Bios revision on the web is 4.06.20 from http://h20004.www2.hp.com/keeper_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix50452.html
Try to reflash your BIOS and then go into the ECU. Also since your server hangs with all hdd's removed on the Mylex card. If you remove your Mylex and cable your hdd's to the embedded SCSI can you boot into the ctrl-A and see the hdd's? Have you tried a different slot in the LH2 making sure NOT to use slot 8?

Re: BIOS Update LH2
Flasing the Bios to an older state with the "LH2 NetServer Navigator CD" really helps me out.
