Booting from CD with Netserver LP 2000r
I have inherited an LP2000r on which I would like to install 2003 server. The machines' specification is dual 1.14Ghz CPU, 1Gb RAM and 6 18Gb SCSI drives in RAID 5 config.
I am trying to start the installation by booting from the setup CD but the system doesn't seem to recognise the existence of the CD. Is it possible to do this?

Re: Booting from CD with Netserver LP 2000r
Yes, I think in the BIOS setup you can remove it but I do not know why you would.
First enter the BIOS and see if the CD is listed as a device, if so check and see if it is in the Boot order or not.
If the drive is not even recognized as a device by the BIOS, check the cabling and power, things like do the front light come on during power up.
If all fails the drive could be bad
