Clear Event Log in Linux?
I am running Slackware Linux 8.1.
I have a flashing red light. The use of the bezel controls are intuitive and I can see events, but I cannot find anything to clear the event log.
There doesn't seem to be anything for it in the BIOS either.
Any ideas?

Re: Clear Event Log in Linux?
Ethan,
Not sure what server your running this on. There is Instant TopTools for RH 7.1,7.2, Suse7.2, 7.3 and TurboLinux6.5 which you can try to install on your Slackware. http://h20004.www2.hp.com/keeper_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix70272.html
If you can get it to work you can view and clear the HEL from inside the NOS. Otherwise your option is to boot to the Navigator CD to view and clear the log. If you don't have a Nav another way is to create a diagtool disk and access the Event Log (HEL) that way.
Ciao,
Greg
