controller error
In the system log of Event Viewer on our HP Netserver LC3, there is a repeated error:
"The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk2\Partition1."
What does this mean?

Re: controller error
Sounds like this drive has gone bad. Use Disk administrator and device manager (btw, what version of Windows/NT are you running?) to determine which physical drive these errors are being reported against. If it's an active drive, there's probably a bad spot that keeps being accessed.
What to do to fix it depends on the nature of the failure and what kind of data is on the drive.
Regards,
Dave
