E 800 beep code?
Hi guys, just asking what does it mean when the server during boot will give 4 beep error code? I've reseat the memory and tried it on other slots but still the same error generated. I installed a video card also to isolate the problem but still the same error... So anybody can help me? I'll be very thankful. And also if you could email to me the error beep codes I'll be very much thankful!!!
Thanks,
JM

Re: E 800 beep code?
Hi JM,
I couldn't find anything on the 4 beep error code you were speaking of. The documented beep codes for this server can be found here:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?categoryId=249
If you remove the RAM entirely, does it give the same beep code or is it a different one? If it is the same, then there is something wrong with your RAM. Otherwise, there is something else causing the issue.
How many sticks are you installing? What are the part numbers? If you have more than 1 stick, have you tried 1 then the other?
Let us know how that goes,
