Enable Write back cause corruption in Progress
In a Lh6000 with SCO 5.0.6 running progress database, have had corruption in the data files, the CE replaces the 3 hard disk in raid 5 and upgrade the firmware of the Netraid Embeded , the problem appear apparently in SCO, I make some tests with Write trough enable in the Netraid , and the system was stable , but is so slow. Do you have more information related to this issue.

Re: Enable Write back cause corruption in Progress
hi
write trought write directly to the disk, write back write store data in the metraid cache.
there is a battery option that you can add to the netraid in order to backup the data in the cache if power fail, preventing to loose data.
If you already have the battery and didn't have power failure, the cache memory may need to be replaced.

Re: Enable Write back cause corruption in Progress
Thank for your help; I think we have to replace the memory cache, because this problem occurred without power problems.
