Also i wanna upgrade the hard drive it has three in it from factory witch all together they are about 10.93GB's the one i wanna put in there is a 20-40GB hard drive, i went to hp.com and found some information telling me the max storage it was (4x4.2GB)=16.8GB's i was wondering if i could atleast put a 20GB hard drive in it with no problems?? Re: HP Netserver E40 Help!

Modem.
You should use a hardware modem and not a PCI soft modem. Look for an IDE modem or external.

Hard Drives:
Yes you can replace the HDs with new ones. If SCSI 18-300GB will work just fine.

CPU:
No you can not uprade the CPU. The PPro only came in those 2 versions and the unit will not support any other.
