Re: HP NetServer LC3 supports windows 2003 server?
I'm certain that the LC3 isn't *certified* for 2003 Server, since it's an older machine.
For one thing, I don't think the LC3 has any USB function. I'm not totally sure, so don't take that as the gospel. But I'm sure a machine from that era is missing other newer hardware features that 2003 Server is expecting.
If you have a copy of the OS on hand, you could try it. But I wouldn't go spending money just to do so. If you really need some feature of 2003, then your best bet is to get a more recent HP ProLiant. At the low end, they're not too expensive, probably similar in cost to the Server OS.
On the other hand, if all you want is a file server or something, NT 4.0 Server would be the appropriate OS for this machine, and can be found very cheap, nowadays.

Re: HP NetServer LC3 supports windows 2003 server?
The official answer is, NO, the LC3 does not support Windows 2003 from HP. But whose to say that it will not work, it may work but it may not be stable or you may be able to install without problems. It's really up to you on how much risk your willing to take. From a time and money stand point I like to be safe and say don't try it and save yourself from some headaches.
