HP Netserver LP 1000r
I have 3 servers that will go into powerdown mode and are losing video and Nic Network connectivity. I have gone into the power management properties of the Network adaptor and have selected that the network card to wake computer on the the LAN.Does anyone know a fix for the server going into a power down mode?

Hi,
we have a couple of LP1000r here and they never go into power down mode. I checked the bios setup and wanted to ask you if you have the Lan Power On/Off feature disabled like we have it here (for LAN A). If this is not the troubleshooter then I think it's some software setting/program.

I finally foundout what the issue was. HP had a lot of bad 133MHZ 1GB RAM chips. If the Ram is having ECC errors, then the video and nic will go out on the server. When you reboot the server it will work again for anywhere from 2 or 3 days to several weeks, then once the chip accesses the bad memory address it will lose connectivity again.
The fix is to replace the bad memory chip module.
