Installing a Modem in LC2000

I have installed a modem into an HP Netserver LC2000, but I cannot get the system to use or acknowledge the modem. My fax software shows that the device has Quit. Is there anything specific about this task i.e. modem brand, type, etc.?

What are you doing with IRQs? Did you disable a com port in the BIOS?

Hi, if you use COM2, perhaps the port is configured in BIOS to work as an remote administration port. If so, change the mode for COM2 in BIOS.
