LC 2000 Server running Windows Server 2003 / RAID failure
I have a trusty LC 2000 running Windows 2003. I had RAID 1 configured on the operating system. Last week one of the drives died. Hence, no RAID. I have a new disk, but can't seem to get the Mirror option to re-appear. I downloaded the Navigator CD, but it doesn't boot when I restart, even though it has first boot priority, and the security on the hardware is disabled. I would like to load HP NetRaid Assistant from the CD, but seem to have something configured incorrectly. I think it must be in the Setup somewhere.

Re: LC 2000 Server running Windows Server 2003 / RAID failure
The LC2000 did not come with a NetRAID controller onboard, and would exist as a PCI card if installed and cabled to the hot swap bays on the front.
You state the "RAID 1 configured on the OS". Does this mean that you were using the OS, Windows, software mirror? If so you would have to consult Microsoft for how to replace a failed drive in the soft mirror. Typically you would simple replace the drive that failed.
As for the NetRAID card, if it does exist, then the RAID 1 would be repaired by simply replacing the failed drive in its slot. Auto-rebuild is the defult configuration and once the failed drive is removed and a functioning drive is replaced, the rebuild process for the RAID 1 would start automatically
