LC2000 NICs

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has used multiple low-end Network interface cards for this type of server. If so, which brands/model were successfull?

The server uses an intel Etherpro model from the factory;however, I'm looking to setup this machine in a lab and don't require any high performance stuff and I"m simply looking to add two more inexpensive cards for the testing environment.

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Here is a list of supported products for the LP2000R.

Re: LC2000 NICs

Thanks for the info... Actually, I had already taken a look at this information. I was hoping I could get some feedback from folks who have used some low-end cards with success. Basically, I don't want to fork out $600 when I can get cards for $40 to suite my purpose. Of course for production use, I would definitely follow the the list on that particular site.

Thanks again...

Re: LC2000 NICs

I haven't tried it, but there should be no reason what-so-ever for multiple cards working.

Please note however that they will not be covered by warranty and other such things..

Risk is yours to take of course.

Re: LC2000 NICs

I do understand the risks on this.. and as with any untested item from any manufacturer.. it will be unsupported.. understood..

However, what I'm hoping to get are some real experiences from someone who has "actually" tried this, and can share some of their experiences.. I'm finding these machines although very good -- seem to be very none standard..(my fault for not doing more research though).

Nevertheless, I would certainly appreciate any feedback on real experiences on this...

Thanks in advance..
