LC3 Proccessor upgrade
I have serveral LC3's I'd like to upgrade with a second proccessor. What do people think of using a non-from hp proccessor? A PII 450 from HP is $473. The same can be found on the open market for under $100? Please give me some opinions. Thanks.

Re: LC3 Proccessor upgrade
Leroy,
You may have stepping issues and other incompatability issues that won't be addressed by the servers BIOS. If system stability is important for you then definately buy the HP CPU.
Ciao,
Greg

Re: LC3 Proccessor upgrade
If you do purchase a non HP processor, remember you will need the VRM to make it work. This would have to be purchased from HP or one if there resellers.
