LD Pro CPU Upgrades

Has anyone had any success in upgrading their LD Pro's beyond 200 MHz? I've tried some Celeron, Pentium Pro, Socket 8 upgrades from Evergreen Technologies, (Performa Pro 533MHz). While the bios is certainly funky I can get NT to boot. Win/2000 is another story. It bootstraps but it always hangs very early.

These are great machines and I would hate to make them into boat anchors just yet.
