I have a LH 2 P300 server that i want to use for light duties. The server crashes when trying to copy files or do a network backup (not local). This is irrespective of win2k or NT4.
There are no tales in the event viewer or device manager of anything wrong. I have done the troubleshooting fundamantals but I know I am missing something here. My hardware engineer gives me a blank look. The latests firmware (this is an old server) is no help either. Any help comments will be appreciated.

You could try:

- a different network card
- different slot for network card

slot 9 - primary pci bus
slot 8 - secondary pci bus, shares IRQ with on-board adaptec controllers
slot 7 - secondary pci bus, shares IRQ with slot 5
slot 6 - secondary pci bus
slot 5 - secondary pci bus, shares IRQ with slot 7
