LH3 Netraid speed issues

Hi

I have recently aquired an LH3 (2*PII 450) from my company and have just set it up as a win2k server running sql 2000 to work as a server for my dev work.

I dont have a great deal of experience with raid but I have setup the three 9.1(10,000 rpm) drives in a raid 5 config..( on the internal netraid)

When testing the speed to for sequential read and write I am getting 27 mb/s read and 3.2 mb/s write, sureley I am doing something wring as even my client machine running 5400 rpm ide drive is faster.
