LH3 VRM Compatibility
One of our LH3 boxes started hanging in boot right as the Win2k server boot screen comes up, getting the event code 00202(Voltage -5V Threshold),i ran hp diagnostics. When running the multiprocessor test, it said 2nd processor not responding(running dual p3 500's). Figure it is the vrm(hp p/n 0950-2848)and not the processor itself. I have no way of testing the module or processor(no terminator to do single processing) but i do have spare vrm's from an LH4 upgrade,(hp p/n 0950-2847) for running p3 xeon 500. My question, can i put the LH4 p3 xeon 500 vrm into my LH3 to run a p3 500 with out burning anything up??

Re: LH3 VRM Compatibility
Well found a little info on the LH4 p3 xeon 500 vrm(p/n 0950-2847) and found that it can be use in conjucntion with p2 and p3. Rammed the vrm home, held my breath, booted...it now finds the second processor, ran utilities and everything passes, YESSS!!
