Lh3000, Win2k
When I reboot, the monitor displayed
1 logical drive(s) found
1 logical drive(s) failed
1 logical drive(s) handled by bios
Configuration of NVRAM and drives mismatch
Run View/Add Configuration option of Configuration Utility
Press any key to enter the Configuration Utility
Press a key to Run Config Utility
When I press, the Config Utility appeared, and I go to Configure-->View/Add/Delete Configuration.
On Disk Configuration, its diplayed
ch-0 id-0 Ready (Disk, 36.4GB, C,80-D94N, D94N)
ch-0 id-5 Proc (Processor, SAFTE; U160/M, BP, 1021)
press esc its displayed Logical Drives Configured (LD-none, RAID-none, Size-None, #Stripes-None, Strpz-None, Drive-State-none)
While on NVRAM Configuration, its displayed
ch-0 id-0 Fail (Disk, 36.4GB, C,80-D94N, D94N)
ch-0 id-5 Proc (Processor, SAFTE; U160/M, BP, 1021)
press esc its displayed Logical Drives Configured (LD-0, RAID-0, Size-34731MB, #Stripes-1, Strpz-8KB, Drive-State-Offline)
I don't know which one to save, or do I need to reconfigure?
Before this, I made a logical partition using Win2k Disk Management.
Could anyone else help me to find out and fix the problem.

Re: Lh3000, Win2k
By the info provided I'd say use the NVRAM configuration as the Disk config says size None. I'd save and use this one... but I hope you do have your backups in order.
HTH,

If you have any questions on this contact HP for support:
(970) 635-1000, option 1, 1, then 2. Or use Instant Support Active Chat at:

Re: Lh3000, Win2k
the only choise, is the NVram because on the disk , the logical drive is gone, in fact the disk is seen as ready that means not configured, in th NVram config, you can see the hdd in a failed status with a logical drive configured. as the drive is alone, and raid 0, you could then (when config is saved) force it in a on-line status.
Just a question, I never see this sort of situation, usualy on the disk the original config remain and on the NVram it gone, did you even change the hdd with an empty one?)

Re: Lh3000, Win2k
How to force the disk to online state.
Hi all,
I tried to ask the Asia Pacific HP based in Singapore. He said
"In this situation, you can choose the option from "Disk" as it shows you the HDD information.
Do not save the configuration from NVRAM as it showing the "FAIL" HDD.
Please choose view from "DISK" and save the configuration, then reboot and the server will be able to boot again unless the HDD fails then you might not be able to bootup."
Is it true what he said? If I do what he suggested, do I need to reinstall my OS?

Re: Lh3000, Win2k
You can try to force the drive online, but in a RAID 0 this is typically not an option.
1. Save the NVRAM configuration. The hard drive should now be reported as FAILED.
2. Select the drive (if it will let you) and make it Online.
3. If this fails, delete the existing RAID array and re-create it WITHOUT Initializing. Initializing will erase the hard drive.

-Device Errors(Media Error:0, Other Error:0)
