lh6000r, datafiles broken
Hello!
We bought HP LH6000r for production and test R/3 systems.
We use R/3 4.6C, Oracle 8.1.6.1 and Suse Linux Enterprise Server 7.
But I have very bad problem- after installation I have broken database.
Intergarted raid controller, 12 HDD drives.
There is no difference between raid1 or raid5- database is broken
Also I tried kernel 2.4.7 and 2.4.16 with no success.

Re: lh6000r, datafiles broken
Are all the hard drives online? This can be viewed from Ctrl-M Express Tools (during POST).
We should first isolate if this is a specific problem with a database application or the NetRAID RAID array. Hardware or software?

Re: lh6000r, datafiles broken
Hello!
Looks like there are really 2 problems:
1. Datafiles corruption on raid 5 with stripe size 4K. May be all is OK with default stripe size 64K,
not shure yet.
2. There is no real corruption with
raid1, this is my misunderstanding- SAP R/3 reported inconsistent database, this is fixed in new R/3 binaries.
