Re: lost,lost,lost! netserver lh 3
Jim,
Configure your Raid 5 in Ctrl-M and initialize the array. Then download the drivers diskettes along with the BIOS and FW for the LH3 from: http://h20004.www2.hp.com/keeper_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix50448.html for some preventative maintenence before your fresh install of 2000. All of the files that you download are executables so save them to your desktop or folder and run them from there to create the diskettes.. If you just save the downloads to diskette you will fail.
After flashing Bios and fw. Boot to 2000 set up and when it gets to detecting mass storage skip detection by F6 and load the HP netraid drivers for 2000. Then load your ATAPI ide cd-rom 1.2 driver from the microsoft drop down box. Then procede with the install.
As for NW 3.1 --> it is too old... 4.1 is the earliest NW supported on the LH3.
Ciao,
Greg

Re: lost,lost,lost! netserver lh 3
I would suggest that you use the navigator CD to set up the RAD and install the NOS, it does cut down the time. If you manuualy set up RAID make sure you try to install with only 1 partition, may have problems otherwise.
Also, don't know about being supported but Novell 3.12 works very well on LH3. We have a box that has been running it for years with no problems.
