LP2000r and Windows 20003

Has anyone upgraded a Windows 2000 SP4 server to Windows 2003 on a LP2000r? Does it work? Any problems or gotchas? Any drivers need to be updated?

Hi,

Well, 2003 is not tested or supported for use on the LP2000r by HP. As well, I would guess that it is not on the Microsoft HCL list either.

I know 2003 will probably install on the server, and you may have no problems, but then again you may have lots of problems.

Another thought: HP has no drivers out for 2003 on this server so you would either have to use HP 2000 drivers or the Microsft drivers. Again, that could be problematic.

My big concern if I were you is if the Server in question is a Domain Controller. I wouldn't want to risk any problems on the install if this were the case. You could end up having problems with your Active Directory.
