NetRAID-4M Window 2000 SP3

I tested SP3 on our passive node and FAST is acting quite strangely. Cannot see the containers. I've attempted to remove SP3, no change. I've removed and reinstalled FAST as well as the drivers for Win2K, even de-clustered and re-clustered... No change. Any advice or has anyone ran into this yet? FAST on the secondary shows the current owner with an unknown serial #. I don't dare migrate control and lose my containers.

Are you using the latest version of driver, fast and firmware on the controller? All three are created to work together, if any are different revs, it will cause issues with the controller. It is strongly recommended to keep the 4M up to date. You can find the latest 4M updates here:

Re: NetRAID-4M Window 2000 SP3

All drivers, etc are up to date. In fact, I removed SP3 on the passive node, re-installed FAST, device drivers, etc. No change. This has me VERY nervous. As now my cluster is a standalone server.

Re: NetRAID-4M Window 2000 SP3

I spoke with a HP SE who was able to confirm without confirming that YES there is an issue with SP3 and the NetRAID 4M cards. Apparently neither HP nor MS are making anything public about this.

Re: NetRAID-4M Window 2000 SP3

Wesley, have you got any advice from HP about upgrading to SP3 or SP4 one this cluster after you wrote your last message?

Someone in HP told me last year there was an issue with FAST/Netraid-4M and SP3, but when I ask HP today if I can upgrade to SP3 or SP4 on our 3 HP cluster nobody know. When I told them about this thread, they only point me to the driversmatrix for Netraid-4M and that there are new versions of the drivers since your posted your messages. But they can not confirm it is safe to install SP3 or SP4 with these new drivers.

MS recommend SP3 or better if I want to patch the RPC-bug (blaster-worm).
