Having problems with Netraid Assistant utility on an HP Netserver LH pro. Have attempted to reinstall the utility using the A.02.02 version for Windows 2000 downloaded from this web site. The Netraid Assistant application hangs when loading on the server. The documentation states that the Netraid Registration Server and Access Service must be run by clicking on their Windows icons. The only icon installed is 'Netraid Assistant'. Any info/suggestions on this would be much appreciated.

Re: Netraid Assistant-Netserver LH Pro
Teresa,
Try downloading the latest NetRaid Assistant Version B.01.04 from http://www.hp.com/cposupport/servers/software/nrutnt.exe.html
Also which netraid card do you have? A netraid 1 or 3 or do you have a newer 1si or 3si and have you upgraded to the Win2K driver for NetRaid also?

Solution
hi Teresa
if netraid assistant hang when loading, it may be you have a hdd failed which is in "spining up" state, did you have error messages at boot time?, have you checked in Ctrl-M express tool?
you can aslo check this situation looking at your hdd, when you start netraid assisant and it hang, look at your hdd if one of them have two leds lighted (power and activity) for minuts. in this case, just remove the defective hdd
bye

Re: Netraid Assistant-Netserver LH Pro
Thank you. That was the problem exactly, a failed hdd. Once it was physically removed, the Netraid Assistant loaded right up.
