NetRAID card Bad or Disk Bad?
Hi,
I hope somebody can help me:
We have one NT PDC that is netserver lh pro with netraid card of mirroring disks. One night all other NT BDCs complained about "browser was unable to retrieve a list of servers from the browser master \\PDC_name" while doing Backup Exec backup. But the PDC showed no error messges. With Dignostic Assistance CD, all tests including system board and SCSI devices passed except memory test took too long that I let it go. This means no error messages can identify the source of PDC error. (all BDC error messages do not appear from the following days)
Physical view: we can tell one disk drive does not blick as the other does (they are mirrored).
I haven't used NetRAID software to test for I see it is risky and easy to write new partition on the existing data disk.
I would appreciate it very much if you put out your comment on this.
Thanks a lot,
Steven
