NetRAID config error
Hi,
I have 3 physical disks in a RAID5 array. I want to add 2 additional disks to the array. I'm using NetRAID. I select the logical drive and the disk to add, then I choose the Add Capacity command. At that point, I get an error message that says "Physical Disk Size Less than Logical Disk Size". I don't see anything about this in the help file. What am I missing?
Best regards,
Michael Hammond

Re: NetRAID config error
Hi Michael,
can you provide the disk capacity of the disks in the RAID5 and the new ones you try to add ?
Are they the same or not ?
The order in which you tried this is :
- select a disk you want to add (click on it
so it is highlighted)
- select a logical drive, right mouse click on
it and go into Advanced Menu and choose
"ADD DRIVE"
right ?

Re: NetRAID config error
Are you trying to add both new drives to the array at the same time? You can only add one disk at a time.
Are you using NetRAID Assistant to add the capacity?
What are the sizes of the drives you have in the array? Are the drives you want to add at least as large as those? You will not be able to add drives that are smaller than the drive already in use in the array.
For example, if you have an array made up of 18GB HDDs, you can't use 9GB HDDs to add capacity to that array.
