Netserver E45 boot device and large disks
I have some questions about e45 disk system.
1.Can I boot e45 not only from disk wich connect to integrated SCSI controller (on motherboard), but for example from disk connected to SCSI PCI Card?
Or from IDE disk? I couldn't do this.
2.Can I make integrated SCSI controller determine Hard drives greater than 4Gb?
May be I must upgrade BIOS?

Re: Netserver E45 boot device and large disks
You should be able to add a more modern SCSI controller and even disable your onboard controller, and boot from the new controller. As for IDE, most Netservers are not designed to use the IDE as a HD controller therefore the IDE was not in the BOOT strap. But again you can add a modern inexpensive IDE controller, even then new PCI U133 IDE RAID controllers and make a Mirror and boot from that.
Your existing onboard SCSI controller should not have any limitations for drive size, for this is not part of the Firmware of the controller but that of the drive.
