Netserver E50: Fastest Processor, How Many Processors & SS6

I may be adopting a Netserver E50 to toy around with as a NetWare 6 server.

Can someone please advise of the fastest processor the E50 can use? I'm not concerned with the fastest processor "supported" just the fastest it can use. It currently has a PII 300MHz processor (w/192MB RAM and a 4.2GB HD).

Can the E50 take advantage of dual processors, or just a single processor?

Also, I read in the E50 datasheet that it can use the HP Netserver Storage System/6. Is this simply a separate storage sub-system that I can connect the E50 to and just use the E50 for the processing power? I'm wondering though, since the PII 300MHz processor on the E50 is not fast (in this day) and can only max out at 384MB of RAM, if it wouldn't be worth using SS6 if I make this server a full-time server for a small LAN (few PCs and a few Macs)?

I'm thinking that the PII processor and 384MB RAM ceiling is just not enough to drive the SS6 system. Please give your feedback.

Thanks in advance!

The fastest processor is the 333MHz. The SS6 is a 6 slot hot swap disc storage unit. It only connects to the E50 via the SCSI or Netraid controller. There is no processing power or memory needed to run the unit. It has it's own power supply.

Thanks for the reply! I assume then that this server can only use 1 processor, correct?

By the way, can someone please offer the exact motherboard brand and model number installed in the E50 PII 300MHz server? I can't find any information on what mobo it has and would like to know prior to bidding on this server.

Thanks again in advance.
