Netserver E800 Compatibility with Windows SBS 2003

I have a Netserver E800 P111 1Ghz. Bios 4.14.04 11/08/1999 with 2GB Ram.

The server is currently running Windows SBS 2000 and needs to be upgraded to Windows SBS 2003. Do you see any problems in doing this?

Since HP did not test 2003 (any version) on the HP Netservers, please be aware this would not be an HP supported configuration. I would strongly recommend using the advanced ITRC search option to view all Windows 2003 OS postings from the Netserver forum. The advanced search option is here:

Recently I installed (3+ months) fresh copy of SBS 2003 french version on HP NetServer E800 800Mhz.

There were, and aren't any problems, up to now!

The latest BIOS for the E800 is 4.06.18 PQ and you can download it from this link:

Create the BIOS Update Diskette by launching the executable and following the instructions.

Sorry, this may be a silly question but I have downloaded the bios, run it and it has written files to the floppy disk. Now how do I update this on the server?

You will need to boot the server from the floppy diskette you have created. You will then be prompted to update the BIOS.
