netserver e800 on W2K slow w/ Win98 workstations
I just setup a Netserver E800 with W2K Server to work with an E50 (W-NT4) network. I needed the new server to run a modern program and must keep old server to run legacy programs. The workstations are vectra (P-II 333) w/Win 98. I have very slow interactions with workstations and new server. Help!!!!

Re: netserver e800 on W2K slow w/ Win98 workstations
Todd,
Is the server itself running at a "normal speed" or is it slow as well? What driver and what Nic are you using on the E800? Look at this post on NIC drivers for win2k: http://bizforums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/0,,0x181c8f960573d611abdb0090277a778c,00.html
The last question is how is your router, switch or hub configured? Is it set to auto negotiate or is it set at 10mb/s?
Ciao,
Greg
