Netserver LC2000 U3 - Netraid 1-M - Failed Drives!!
Have (2) two separate U3 servers that have a similiar configuration:
Single 1ghz CPU
768Mb RAM
Netraid 1-M
(2) Two 18GB SCSI Drives ( P1166 )
Netraid connected to Internal HS Cage
Windows NT 4.0 SP6 + Post SP to 6/01/03
Latest Server/Raid/Disk BIOS installed.
Issue: Both servers report that both drives are failed. If I go into express tools and re-activate them, the system boots and runs fine for a few hours then first Disk 0 fails then a couple of hours later the second disk fails. ( I place them back online because the data on these machines is temporary and not critical)
I remember something a long while back about the original U2 servers having backplane/BIOS issues but thought the U3's had this issue licked...
Any thoughts?? Thanks...

Re: Netserver LC2000 U3 - Netraid 1-M - Failed Drives!!
I do not remember well, but check that cable are the U3 and not U2 (they should be with two collors and twisted pair, not yello and flat). or slow down scsi communication to 80 Mb/Sec (not 160 as for U3)
