NetServer LC3
Does this server require an operating system? I've never used a server before and I require some basic knowledge on how to get one operational. I use The NetServer LC3, and im also wondering how to set it up to copy data off the network every day.

Re: NetServer LC3
Hi Fred, you could do worse than to start at this point
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?locale=en_US&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=50443
this is the home page for your server where there are all the technical manuals available, also the downloads for bios etc
cheers

Re: NetServer LC3
Fred,
Obviously the LC3 needs to run some sort of operating system, or it will just stop after post saying no operating system found.
Choose whichever NOS that you feel most comfortable with, NT 4. (old system) or linux. There are lots of third party applications to set up data copy applications.

(I'm not sure if this is the same link as Malvin gave)
Create the bios and ECU disks and use the drivers for the supported OS's.
Ciao,
Greg
