NetServer LH3r...Help Needed
0080-51 NetServer Management Controller SelfTest Failure
0090-64 DIMM Management Failure ( I swapped out the DIMM on the PCI board, it didnt help)
0075-98 Integrated HP NetRaid Firmware Not Responding.
Also, the computer has a IDE CD-ROM and IDE Hard Drive, neither of which are detected by the computer. I tried new cables and new drives. Neither worked.
I recently unhooked the front panel from the I/O board. Could that have anything to do with it?
Please Help.

Re: NetServer LH3r...Help Needed
first of all disconnect power cable for 5 minutes. Then reconnect and try to boot up the server. If the messages persist, try to upgrade the system BIOS (you should be able to perform this operation also if the messages are shown).
Have u connected a serial cable of UPS? Verify if is connected to the serial port and not to the management port.
If nothing happen, try to reset cmos on CPU board.

Re: NetServer LH3r...Help Needed
you'll find a switch on the CPU board. The right switch is n°5. The switch is located over the RTC battery:
http://h200001.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpn11636/lpn11636.pdf
Turn off server, move switch, turn on server for a while. Then turn off again and move switch to the original position. Reset colpeted.
My suggestion is, if you are using the integrated netraid, to read how are configured the SCSI port to prevent any further problem after cmos reset(Check in BIOS information in "integrated device")

Re: NetServer LH3r...Help Needed
You have two seperate issues going on there..
First of all, for the 0075 Netraid FW not responding, try to reseat the i/o cache which is above the top PCI slot.
See if that resolves your 0075 fw not responding
Lets see if we can resolve that issue first. The 0080-0090 is an error that you can continue into the NOS. If we can resolve 0075, then we'll try the 0080-0090 force flash which is similar to the LPr force flash, except with different commands for the LH3.

Re: NetServer LH3r...Help Needed
To resolve the 0080-0090 error if you resolve the 0075 error, then follow these steps
Boot the server from a DOS Boot floppy.
from a prompt, insert the LH3 bios flash diskette and run the following commands, confirm filenames with DIR
A:\> flashmmc lh3ra_us.bin
*Note: there is no interactive screen; the update takes place in the background. Wait for a prompt to reappear.
When the prompt returns, execute the following command:
A:\> sdredit -w -f list_lh3.sdr
*Note: Unlike the previous step, this one is interactive and you will see activity.

Re: NetServer LH3r...Help Needed
If reseating the i/o cache didn't resolve the 0075 error, your netraid controller has failed or your cache has failed. You need to replace the i/o board and/ or i/o cache. Work arounds would be to disable the integrated netraid in the bios and cable to a PCI netraid card if you have one handy. That would get you back up and running as a work around to replacing the i/o board and i/o cache.
