Netserver Rack Storage/12 Compatibility question

I am currenty using the D5989BV-000P models with several LXR8000 servers. I have the opportunity to purchase a D5989B #ABA model and was wondering what the difference is between the 2 models?

Re: Netserver Rack Storage/12 Compatibility question

This two models are actually the same. V suffix in part nr means that product is preconfigured (with certain number of disks). Option ABA is for localisation.

Thanks for the response, being an HP Novice when it comes to part codes, can I assume the ABA is OK for North America?

Re: Netserver Rack Storage/12 Compatibility question

Yes, ABA is option for US. All the questions like this can be solved using NetServer Order Assistant. Go to netserver web site (netserver.hp.co), select tools and download Order Assistant. Using it you can select region, configure server and storage. Output can be excel file with all the part numbers and optins valid for that region. Software will also chack proper configuration (components compability, OS compability, number of free memory and PCI slots, etc).
