Network Booting on Netserver LPr?
We have a batch of LPr servers I'd like to PXE-boot from a master server. I have a working PXE environment, tested using a spare Dell Poweredge, and the NICs from that test are in the LPrs now (Intel Pro/100 with flash and latest PXE agent).
I've set the LPr BIOS boot order to be Network, Floppy, CD then finally HDD, but it seems that the system doesn't even try to net-boot.
The Intel Agent does announce itself at boot time, PXE is the select remote boot method, and the option in the Intel agent for boot order is set to 'BIOS selected'.
Is there a secret? I'd really like to get all these servers with a uniform install.

Re: Network Booting on Netserver LPr?
Hi Howard,
Go to F10 on boot to the BIOS setup and change the boot order to be Networ Boot on top under hard drive priority (not the standard boot order)
Regards

Re: Network Booting on Netserver LPr?
That's the problem. I've done that, and it seems that the PXE agent doesn't even try. Usually I'd expect to see the banner appear with the MAC address of the NIC, and the DHCP server progress. All that appears is the PXE Agent version number, just after the SCSI BIOS initialises.
The agent is enabled and up-to-date though.
