Screen goes black after POST
Hi,
I've got a problem with LP1000r. When the server is rebooted, the server goes through his POST, but when the HP utilty partition is finished counting. The screen goes black with an cursor blinking.
Look into firmware and bios updates and upgraded to RA.xx.31. but still no boot after the POST. I have run the diagnostics from Hp utility partition. But everyting was reported without errors.
I'am desperate, does anyone has a clue. Please let me know.

Re: Screen goes black after POST
You probably need to clear the cmos of the server. With the server powered off, locate the block of switches on the main board. Place switch #4 in the on position. Boot the server to the end of post. A message will appear asking you to power off the server and set the switch back in the off position. Power the system off and place switch #4 in the off position. Power the system on and press F2 to enter the setup. Do an F10 (save and Exit). See if that helps.

Re: Screen goes black after POST
thanks for your help, Joe. But I have found the solution, the server was switched off in a live system state.
So startup files were corrupted. Software problem.
