SCSI problems

I have an HP Netserver E60 with an integrated dual channel ultra wide SCSI
controller.

I have just installed 2 Quantum Atlas 10K 18.2G Ultra3 drives.

The SCSI IDs are set as follows:
0 Original HP drive
1 Atlas 10K
2 Atlas 10K
4 Tape drive
7 Controller

When I boot, the SCSI BIOS does not see these drives. Is there a
compatibility issue? What could the problem be?

Re: SCSI problems

What happens if you connect only one of the Atlas drives (and disconnect original drive, tape drive and the other atlas drive) ?

Maybe the SCSI address jumpers are set incorrectly (happened to me just a week ago :) and connecting only one device may help to diagnose such stuff.

I'd also look for jumpers for termination (should not be set) and auto spinup (can be disabled IF the controller is configured to send a spin-up command).

Re: SCSI problems

Hi Martin

Tested with one drive. Still not working. Tested on different cable and worked.

Cable was faulty.

Thanks for the help.
