Server Hangs
I have a NetServer LC2000 running dual Intel PIII 833 processors, 1gig RAM, 3 9gig RAID drives, 1 40gig scsi drive, an HP TapeDrive, single power supply, and a PCI IntelPro 10/100 S server NIC. The server is plugged into an APC 1000 SmartUPS, the onboard NIC is connected to the "Public" vlan on an HP Procurve switch, and the Intel NIC is connected to the "Private" vlan on the same switch. Novell Netware 5.1 sp3 is the installed NOS.
The box ran great until early July when a rapid series of power "outages" hit our rural area. Since then, the system will totally freeze, i.e. no keyboard response, no screen updates, clients lose connectivity via IP and IPX, etc. The only thing I can do is power cycle the unit...which will run 5 minutes or maybe 2 days before doing the same thing again. Diagnostics come clean after running for a weekend, and running only for CPUs and Memory as well.
Nothing is logged except the front panel controls when rebooting.
I have re-installed the NOS system files, downloaded and installed the latest BIOS and Drivers from the HP support site and swapped UPSs, power supply, switch, NICs and isolated the LAN from the outside world...all still produce the same freezes.
Can anyone suggest a next step? I fresh out of ideas...
Thanks.

Re: Server Hangs
Yes, I thought of that and was the first thing I tried...especially because it was the easiest and cheapest. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
Diana,
No, I've been avoiding a clean install of the NOS as it's a bit of a job time wise rebuilding the server...if I merely backup, re-installed NOS, and restored NDS, DS, etc., who's to say I haven't re-introduced the very same corruption again? So a clean NOS install is last on my list of things to try. How about the motherboard, what do you think the possibility is of that taking the hit, hardware wise?
